The list continued… Problems Tall Women Can Relate To

May 14, 2014

I am almost certain I have a personal photo for every last one of the 32 problems included in Lara Parkers list on Buzzfeed.com titled “32 Problems All Tall Girls Will Understand.”

Here are a few extras Tall ladies can relate to as well!

33. You’re the Tallest one in your family or just about the tallest female in your family.

yes. I’m that much taller than her in flats.

I actually saw a woman in Panama that was at least 6’3″ while I was visiting last September.

34. When you go shopping with a friend and find one pair of non-granny like shoes while they sulk over which of the 7 pairs of fab shoes they found to buy.IMG_9710

35. What it looks like when a shorter guy flirts with you.

What the conversation sounds like when a short guy flirts with you.
Short Guy: “I like em Tall.”
Tall Girl: Tilts her head to the side with a grin and says “I like em tall too.”
She giggles, or in my case bursts out laughing. He smiles. Both move on smiling and no one has to know what happened. lol.

36. When you’re in a car that’s too darn small.

Car rental locations should immediately upgrade your car when you’re 6’0″ or taller. #IJS.

37. When you see a tall guy with a female who is at least a foot shorter than him. Makes you want to scream. Such a good ole’ fashion waste of height.

I know giants aren’t well regarded in the bible but ur ummmmm can we at least try to keep the tallest among us tall, instead of shortening our children’s height potential, literally.

38. When you can rest your head on top of the head of the person standing next to you.

39. When you’re out dancing but you’re the tallest in the room leaving you no choice but to dance with a shorter guy. Try being twirled by one. Epic fail almost every time.

40. When you kiss someone shorter than you this is what you think it looks like. Heck, this is what it looks like.

41. Ducking when walking in a door (home, office, airplane) and rejoicing when you get an exit row seat!

Southwest’s new airplanes actually have more head room. United Airline’s new planes have more leg room on all rows (upgrade…Yaay).

42. Seeing another Tall woman, especially one taller than you is like Christmas, your birthday and a new year party all wrapped in one.

Bonus: #11 from BuzzFeed’s post was “Being judged for wearing heels.”

It is the one that is high on my list of things that irritate me because for starters it’s rude.

Who made shorter people the authority on who gets to wear heels and who doesn’t? Hey, I don’t go around asking short people why they wear flats. Aren’t they short enough?  I mean why don’t they wear heels all of the time to make up for their height deficiency? Exactly, it’s not nice to say that and it’s not nice, heck its downright mean, to ask a tall woman or teen why she’s wearing heels indicating there is something wrong about it. Obviously it goes with her outfit, she can walk in them, they came in her size and/or she bought them with the intention to wear them (duh).

For this reason I wear my heels proudly and I have no qualms about towering over people while doing so. At my height my presence will be noticed upon entry so I may as well make it good. Every entrance is my runway! In the words of Drake, ‘Own It.’

Disclaimer: I have nothing against short people. My maternal grandmother is only 4’11” and I loved her beyond life even if I was taller than her by the age of 7/8. 😉

Few days after my divorce, I was in a Walmart in Oklahoma city and I watched a very tall black woman, she was very glamour. A sort of very tall DONNA SUMMER with same haircut. she noticed I had a sort of crush 4 her because she started to discuss a little with me before to pay. She gave me her phone and just because I wanted to go back to France I ended the short relation…. she was very kind… but now, I deeply to regret what I done because I dream now to live with her ( I know it,s stupid but I dream)… I, am white, 5,11, slim, and she Don, t care….she was at least 6’6″…. with a beautiful ☺………… I, am so pissed by myself now.
