American Tall is an online clothing store designed with tall and slim men in mind; tall men ranging in height from 6’3”to 7’1”.
Scroll down for images from today’s review and a special promo code that you can use to shop tall with American Tall.
American Tall’s clothing line also includes shirts that go up to XXL in size. The difference between the American Tall XXL and a ‘Big & Tall’ XXL is in the fit. The waist is tapered in by 4 inches from the chest.
Their shirts also come in ‘Tall’ and ‘Extra Tall.’ There is a 2 inch difference in sleeve and body length between the Tall and Extra Tall dress shirts.
The American Tall collection also includes blazers, pants, tees, boxers, and denim.
TD Review
Lets jump right into the review with Tall District ambassador, Justin Dukes.
Justin’s Measurements
Height = 6’6″
Sleeve = 37”
Inseam = 34” (majority of Justin’s height is in his upper body)
Waist =38”
Weight = 255
Weight = 255
Justin is on the thicker side of slim a.k.a. medium build. As a result, ‘big & tall’ clothing does not work for him. There is typically too much fabric in the waist of B&T shirts and style options are limited.
The sleeve length was great. American Tall sleeve lengths range from 38” to 41.5”.
Note:
There was a slight mix up with the shirt. Justin ended up with a larger shirt (pictured above).
As a result, the shirt as seen on Justin is not an accurate depiction of the normal fit. The image below from American Tall is more accurate. An accuracy Justin and I can attest to.
Justin also had an opportunity to try the Oskar shirt (not pictured – image and sizing below). He loved it, mainly because of the fit, secondly because it was long enough in the right places.
**This is why you should always look at the size chart before placing an order.**
There are 3 style of dress shirts. The sizing of Oxford’s ($75) are different from American Tall’s Terracina ($99) and Oskar ($65) dress shirts (see size chart).
