“Sooooooooo, you’re tall. Ok. What does that mean?” – said by some average/short height person
Well, sir/ma’am/roommate/partner/husband/mother/father/uncle/aunt/sister/brother/grandmother it means Don’t, I repeat Do Not put our clothing in the dryer because all Kung-Fu hell will break loose.
Why?
The dryer is our ‘Inseam’ Enemy.
Reasons we just love the Dryer:
(1) Our clothing will shrink and we can’t spare a quarter of an inch let alone the 2 to 3 inches we will lose
(2) We had to order the item, pay for shipping and wait for it just to get the proper length. Replacing it would be an expensive nightmare or impossible because it’s no longer in stock (tears).
(3) We can no longer use it for its original purpose (money gone down the drain)
(4) Cotton Shrinks….every time
(5) Denim shrinks too
(6) Refer back to #2. They don’t make it any more. It was a Fall 2011 limited Tall item and hey it’s fall 2014.
(7) Kiss the quality of whatever it was goodbye
(8) Honey I Shrunk the kids was funny but shrinking clothing is not. We are crying real tears like the kid holding on to the cheerio in the picture below.
Dear Dryer please stop Steve Urkel’g us. In the words of Sweet Brown ‘Aint Nobody Got Time for that.’
So my dear friend/brother/sister/wife/husband/aunt/uncle/mother/father/grandparent/laundry staff now you know why we hate the dryer. We literally lose the inseam battle every time.
Remember: Washing clothing is different for those of us who are Tall. We hang just about everything up. We do this to keep the length and to preserve/lengthen the life of our clothing.
Here are a few links for drying racks, Tall’s. Prices range from $20 – $50 bucks. However, I found one at Ikea (small one) for $8.99.
