When I saw this skirt I knew I had to wear/rent it (I am a huge fan and user ‘Unlimited member’ of Rent the Runway).
How to wear it was the question. I’m not the slimmest so styling a layered skirt with anything other than a fitted shirt would be equivalent to deliberately adding an extra unneccesary ten pounds of appearance to myself. Why did this thought cross my mind? Welllllllllllll, the truth is I use Rent the Runway’s app on my iPhone. The app, like the website, allows you to see how others styled the item you’re interested in. This particular skirt was paired with sweaters or loose fitting tops which may work for some, but I knew it wouldn’t work for me based on the pictures I saw (seriously love this feature).
So here’s how I styled it.
Note: For my #Tallgirls did you know that you can create a profile with Rent the Runway a.k.a. #RTR? What I love about it (this is not an ad nor is it sponsored for the record) is that you can include your height in your profile. You can select up to 6’6”. The other feature I love related to height is the ability to find out how tall the model is who is wearing the dress or clothing item of interest. This can help you gauge whether the outfit works for you or not.
The outfit.
Accessories up first.
The Belt: I used a necklace from #RTR and a gold chain from a clutch of mine to create a belt with charms. This was a ‘happy style’ moment.
The Earrings: Ben Amun, Sun Tassel earrings
The Blouse: Galvin, Olive Cross Halter Top
The Skirt: Delphi Collective, Pink Lauren Skirt
The Outfit:

You totally nailed this outfit! The top you choose looks amazing with the skirt. I have been curious about RTR for quite awhile now and can’t wait to try it when I move back to the U.S.

Hi, Beth!
Thanks so much. I am loving Rent the Runway. I’m addicted to their unlimited RTR membership. It keeps my closet ‘stylish’ and my pockets full. A win win.
