Who is Eleanor Anukam? Eleanor Anukam is the brilliant, creative, and confident 5’10,” size 12 shoe wearing founder and designer of Eleanor Anukam luxury footwear. She was born in Houston, Texas but primarily raised in her families home country, Nigeria (Lagos). She now resides in Dallas, Texas.
The collection is sexy, feminine, and fierce with shoes sizes ranging from 9 to 13.
Who did Eleanor have in mind when she created the luxury line for women in sizes 9-13? She is quoted in her online bio as saying, “I’m designing for a fashion forward lady with broadened global influences with a thirst to disrupt fashion.”
The name of each shoe has a special meaning, as does the name of the luxury brand. The brand is named after the designer, Eleanor Ngozi Anukam.
Each shoe style derives its name from the Igbo Nigerian tribe.

Eleanor, from a young age, wanted to become an entrepreneur; a desire strongly influenced by her father’s entrepreneurial endeavors and success. She graduated from high school at 15 and went on to attend college where she received a degree in marketing. A degree she puts to use often as the designer and founder of Eleanor Anukam.
Eleanor’s experiences growing up also inspired her to start a much needed luxury shoe collection. It was difficult for her and her mother to find shoes that fit her. Luckily she lived in a warm climate and was able to get away with wearing slippers/sandals most of the time. She also had a mom that wanted to make sure that she had a sense of normalcy. Eleanor said, “my mom tried her very best and would go to every store possible to find me a pair of shoes.”
