Sometimes an outfit starts with an accessory. Today’s outfit is based on the ‘Olive & Pique’ hat I purchased at Akira (Hyde Park) over the weekend. My goal for this outfit was to look stylishly ‘casual’ chic for the opening night of the Chicago Sky WNBA season.
Sometimes an outfit starts with an accessory.
I put together today’s outfit based on the ‘Olive & Pique’ hat I purchased at Akira (Hyde Park).
My goal for this outfit was to look stylishly ‘casual’ chic for the opening night of the Chicago Sky WNBA season.
It is still fairly cool in Chicago (40-60 degrees) so a light weight jacket is necessary. This outfit can be worn with or without the jacket and scarf. I purchased this jacket 2/3 years ago from Top Shop.
All of the items with the exception of the pant and fringe clutch were purchased at Akira in Hyde Park.
Note: There are multiple Akira locations throughout the city of Chicago.

Lets talk about the pant. Under normal circumstances this pant would be considered ‘high’waters. However, this capri like pant length is perfect for a sandal with high ankle straps like the pair I am wearing. So make good use of your old high waters. 🙂
