Top 5 Tips on How to Enjoy a Concert when a tall person is present:

After reading this article we decided to share our Top 5 Tips for #genheightpop (general height population – a.k.a all of the folks who are not tall) on how to enjoy a concert when #tall concert goers are present. Let’s start with defining what is tall.

Tall for women – 5’9” / 5’10” or taller

Tall for men – 6’3” or taller

We get it, you can’t see through us or over us. So, you want us to move to the back of the crowd? Unfortunately, that does not work for us. Now I think the TALL District community will agree with me on this one when I say that there are more than a few of us from the #tallcommunity that are considerate and accommodating to #genheightpop #concertgoers. However, in all fairness our height does not mean that we have great vision so standing in the back is not appealing to us. Not to mention, we came to the concert for the same reason as you…we want see and hear the musician who is performing. Otherwise we would have watched and listened to them on YouTube, Tidal, or ITunes.

It’s not easy being tall but we know it’s not easy being a member of the #genheightpop either when a #tall is present. We’ve taken that into consideration and have a few tips that may help you have a better #concert attending experience.

Top 5 Tips:

1. Get there first (if you can of course). We can’t stand in front of you if you’re already there.

2. Ladies, wear your heels… your feet may hurt, but your eyes will be able to see. Men, wear boots for extra height.

3. Adjust your position. “Move to the left, move to the right…now everybody clap your hands” (tell me you know this song). A simple move to the right or left can provide a better view.

4. When possible, buy tickets with no visibility options. The ticket may cost you more but you won’t have to worry about a tall person getting in your way

5. Demand Concert Halls split the area in front of the stage. All talls on one side, all smalls on the other side.
