Travel Style: Cuba

Pssss. Hey you. Yes, you. Traveling near or far this summer? Put a little Cuba in your style.

As a Latina with Afro-Caribbean roots (viva Panamà) finding ways to infuse my heritage into my style is a task I am always up for. This year, to celebrate my 25th (for the umpteenth time) birthday I decided to go to Varadero Beach and Habana, Cuba. A perfect excuse to go shopping.

I shopped online for tall specific items, mainly Asos because of their on trend selection of tall clothing. I also shopped in store for capris, tops, sandals (size 11), and accessories. Want to see the looks I put together? Scroll down.  Some of the outfits are pictured below.

Tips on jazzing up your Cuba influenced summer travel style:

1. Embrace vibrant colors.
2. If you are combining a print and a solid color, remember to wear a solid color over the area you want people to ignore and a print over the area you would like to emphasize.
3. Slim or curvy, crop tops can work for you. Give it a try.
4. Check the weather and pack accordingly, light weight fabrics are sure to keep you cool.
