It’s true. I prefer a taller mate. Maybe its vanity. Maybe I’m alone in my desire to stand on my tiptoes or at least tilt my head upwards when he kisses me. Maybe I’m the only tall girl who likes to wear heels and wants my man to be taller than me when I’m wearing them.
Heck, maybe I’m the only tall woman out there that wants to pass my height down to my unborn child(ren). I seriously doubt that by the way.
With all of that said, I may prefer a taller mate but my height preferences go out the window when I hit the dance floor. See evidence below. lol
My height preference also disappears when it comes to my friends. My friends come in all shapes, sizes, and heights, with multicultural backgrounds.
Outfit details at end of post…
Two of my closest friends are much shorter than I am and I love them dearly. They love my ability to reach for things on the top shelf and I love the funny pictures we take together (and their friendship/love of course). See evidence below.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed spending an evening dancing in Harlem with my New York based friend Malik from Kenya and friend Vo from Chicago. They both know how to feed my happy. Malik dances with me and Vo plays music and sings for me. There’s a theme here. lol. I think it is safe to say a big source of my happy is #Music and good friends.
Malik and I.
