California Dreaming of a Maxi Dress

My social media page followers (Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook) saw pictures of me in a maxi dress or two a few weekends ago while I shopped at Dream Girls on Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach, California.

During my first week back in Chicago from California we finally had a warm day. It was more like a summer day reaching 88 degrees. Unbelievable but welcomed with open arms. Here is a picture of the dress I wore and how I accessorized it.

Note: The dress only cost $59.99 and was made for a Tallista! Yes, $59.99. The dress can be worn with or without a lace bralette that is typically $30 or less. Given the size of my girls we opted for a lace bralette. They are a bit too much to roam freely. We need top control. lol. The one I’m wearing with the Maxi dress was purchased at Dream Girls in California. The lace bralette pictured below is $14.99 at Target.

The ACCESSORIES:
I combined two necklaces because lets face it necklaces are rarely ever long enough for us Tallistas. They always look like chokers when they are supposed to sit on the top of your shirt line. As a result, I created front and back jewelry or as I call it ‘the dual purpose necklace’! Just snap the opposite ends together and voila! Easy and stylish.

The Watch:
Silver, dainty, feminine watch I purchased years ago. I would recommend going to Target, Marshalls or TJ Maxx or Nordstrom Rack to find something similar at a reasonable price. All of the watches pictured below are under $50 and can be found online or in store at Target.

Shoes:
I wore a pair of silver and gold sandals from Target (purchased last summer), size 11 and under $20 bucks.
